Over the past decade, Liverpool has undergone major regeneration making it one of the UK’s most exciting places to live and work. The city has grown its economy by 15% year-on-year, blooming with new hotels, retail spaces, and student accommodations. During a major student accommodation refurbishment program on Lime Street, which included replacing the roof and windows, as well as replastering the building facade, a working scaffold was required to facilitate the repairs.
Working closely with the owner and their project manager, Maximus achieved planning permission by entering into a triparty agreement with Liverpool Highways to share the rental income from the site. The owner was able to offset the cost of the building works with the advertising income while working with the local authority to improve the highways. The building was completed after 18 months, just in time for the start of the university’s new academic year intake.
